French Strangers #80, 81 - Girl Talk

As we left le Reminet, I wandered ahead and found these two lovely girls enjoy a smoke and a little girl talk.  I thought about taking the photo without them seeing me, but instead asked for permission and they agreed.   I love their smiles!

Paris Rouge XXXVII - Weekend In Montmartre

Monsieur et le sac rouge

Montmartre is one of the most charming neighborhoods in Paris.  Oh yes, it can be very touristy, but take the rue less traveled and you'll love it.  I thought we'd just spend the weekend here.  Hope that's alright with you!

Voyeuse?

Peut-être, but I restrained myself and did not stick my camera lens through her window!
Would you like to guess what was happening behind that curtain?

I will be short on comments for the next few days. I'm off spending time with dear friends.
I'll check in from time to time!

The Conversation

Seldom have I crossed the beautiful courtyard of the old Hôtel de Sully, now the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, at the Place des Vosges and not seen young people sitting in these doorways have a quiet chat. I thought this young couple especially charming.

Playing for Euros

I'm usually a bit hesitant to snap photos in the Metro. I caught this one on the fly as you can see. I rather enjoy the musicians that hop on and off . They're usually pretty good and friendly, especially if you give them a coin or two. If I take a photograph I always try and return the favor.

The boys below were part of a larger group and were practicing outside Église Saint- Germain- de-Pres.

I'm Late!

Le Marais

I was across the street, setting up a shot of those beautiful doors and then life happened. Much more interesting than just a doorway I think.

Le Tour de France......The Sequel

Bleu et un vélo

Rouge et un vélo
( SURELY a baby doesn't ride on that front seat!)

Pigeon et un vélo
( Don't let the pigeon ride the bike! My grandchildren will understand)

Apparently while I was busy photographing doors, strangers, everything rouge or bleu, etc. I picked up yet another fetish........ scooters and bikes. So here you go!

Window Shopping

My friend Altadenhiker, whose blog is one of my very very favs honored me last week with a post about moi!  I was flattered and offered to return the favor. Alas I don't have her way with words. Never have and probably never will.  Her posts have moved me to tears and made me holler out loud with laughter.  She is as we say down here, "something else!"  It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words,  so today KB, this one's for you.  Something tells me this might have been you once upon a time!

Travel Update: I finally arrived back in Birmingham today (Saturday) at 12:30 pm! I spent last night at a hotel in Atlanta and took the Airport Express home from there this morning. For the gory details and photos, check my Birmingham blog today: http//birminghamalabamadailyphoto.blogspot.com
