La croix

My good friend Owen Phillips (Instagram: owenphil333) , who lives in Chantilly FR, is an exceptional cemetery photographer. We often meet up when we visit Paris. I've learned to appreciate the details, such as this mausoleum door from him.

Deux amis

These two guys, Peter Olson on the left, and Owen Phillips on the right, admiring the wonderful art collection at the Musée Condé at the  Chateau de Chantilly. I met them both via my Paris blog and we do love to get together whenever I pay a visit. I am very fortunate to call them my friends!

Just a short train ride south of Paris, a lovely afternoon spent with friends Ann and Owen Phillips.

la Coix

Cimetière Père-Lachaise, the largest cemetery in the city of Paris. As my cemetery expert, Owen Phillips likes to say, "Père Llachaise is the moss capital of the world!"

Le cimetière

It's no secret that I was not a fan of cemeteries until I started traveling with Mary Gilbert. Then,  between Peter Olson and Owen Phillps, I became a convert. This trip Mary and I will be traveling with our friend Phil Nuxhall, Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetery historian. Taking odds on how many I"ll visit?  Today, Cimetière du Père-Lachaise of course.
