City Daily Photo Theme Day - Library

Well the theme this month was a cinch, as I have only been in two libraries in Paris and neither one allowed photographs. Fortunately I could take this through the glass doors at the Bibliothèque national de France, Richelieu Library.

Paris Rouge - Bibliotèque nationale de France

The Bibliotèque nationale de France Richelieu ( under renovation) is probably a place I wouldn't just wander into but my friend Peter knew better. I took one look at the awnings and knew I would enjoy what was inside. The bare branches against the neutral walls caught me eye as well.  I've made posts here and here of this visit. And I might just another.

Le loquet

Peter takes me to the prestigious Bibliothèque Nationale de France Paris de Richelieu, and I become fixated on this beautiful old latch on the window upstairs in the museum.  I have no shame.

Paris Rouge LXXX - Bibliothèque nationale de France Richelieu

Merci Peter,  for steering me into this lovely place my first afternoon in Paris.  By this time I was in a jet lag haze, but the sight of this beautiful stairway with the red wall, and later the reading room perked me right up.
