Merci pour les souvenirs

I created my Birmingham Daily Photo Blog in June 2008, after following Eric Tenin's Paris Daily Photo ( pictured on the bottom right). Six months later, after my second trip to Paris, Paris Through My Lens. was born.  Since that time I have visited Paris a total of 17 times and posted a photo of Paris almost every day. It's been a life/career changing experience for me. I have made so many friends with fellow bloggers and readers around the world. Many I have had the pleasure of meeting in person. I regret that this collage doesn't represent all of you, but it brought me so much pleasure today collecting these images.

With much regret, his seems like the right time to close both of my blogs. I am so grateful to all of  you who have followed and left comments of encouragement. I value your friendship. I will leave both blogs up so that if you choose, you can still do a search and perhaps finds some photos that you missed along the way. In the meantime, I will continue to post images on my Instagram @vjonesphoto and offer prints on my Etsy shop:http://www.etsy.com/shop/VirginiaJones.

Boz and I are honored to be in the collage! It's been a phenomenon. CDP certainly graced my life. I'll miss your posts here but follow on instagram.

Dearest V. Thank you for sharing your Paris over many years. Your photographs have allowed me to relive our own trips to the city of lights bringing back wonderful memories. I will never forget the accommodation advice you gave us once upon a time. It made our last trip very special. Your photographs have not only inspired my travels but also my photography. Merci beaucoup Best Wishes Joe.

Thank you for all your good work and insightful photos over the years. I loved your reflections on Paris and France, and I got to see a bit of Birmingham , too. We have in-laws who came from Birmingham, so I always shared with them. Best wishes, stay healthy and safe, sorry to see you go.

I may be leaving too, although I'm not sure it's the right time yet, on verra...I also appreciated how you welcomed me with some comments on my blog when it was new, 8 years ago!!

Maybe I'll see you on Instagram...

I'm also a former elementary teacher (of art) and lover of Paris and France and the French language. It would have been fun teaching with you and it has been fun sharing Blogger with you.

I do understand you, very well even.... I’ve now subbed to your ig account and would like to thank you for the beautiful stories and pics you’ve offered over a long time. I’m an ‘occasional’ follower but that was because of How to Use my Time not because I didn’t like your work. Wishing you ALL THE VERY BEST in your future! And I remember Eric well - he also left to go to .... well, what was it already? He never picked up blogging again.
Hero Husband and I left France for good in spring 2020. We still have our lovely, beautiful, enchanted house to sell though..... Times are changing, priorities too. But it’s for the best, in the end, isn’t it?!
