Seule

 Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés

As I write this post, I have been home from Paris for a week. We made the wise decision to cut our trip short by 5 days due to the uncertainty of travel and rapidly unfolding virus news. It was a hard decision, but by Thursday, Mary and I were so very thankful we made that decision. Now Paris is under a lockdown, and I think it will happen here soon as well. I've been self isolating since my return and now it looks like it will be much longer than two weeks.

I think this photograph illustrates how it feels right now, alone. Actually I'm not totally alone, I have my chat noir Meeps and very thoughtful daughters and apartment neighbors. I am counting my blessings that I'm safe, healthy and hopefully virus free. I pray the same for all of you.

In the coming days, I will be happy to share my photos with each of you. Thank you for visiting my blog. Stay well mes amis,

Note: The new banner photo was taken from our lovely apartment in the 15eme. We highly recommend and I would be happy to share the contact information!

I always take photos from my hotel/bedroom window when I travel. I have many of them framed and on the walls in my bedroom at home... each photo has a story.

So glad you and Mary finally made it to Paris, even if your visit was cut short. i’m sure all your friends were as glad to see you as you were to see them.

Sorry to hear you had to cut your trip short, but thank goodness you were able to get home. I'm wondering if you live in a big city where you think a lock down might happen...Thank you for sharing your photos so steadily and faithfully. They bring me joy.
