I Love This Place

I have walked past Café Mouffetard what seems like a million times over the years. I've even had a glass of wine right there a time or two as well.

We ate lunch here on a nice sunny day during our first visit to the area with our daughter who had enrolled in the Sorbonne. Its location on a corner of rue Mouffetard and rue de l'Arbalete furnished us with great people watching and we sat a few tables back from the hustle of this great street. I had been told to visit this street during my first photographic foray into Paris and I chose to walk its length on a Monday. It was overcast and cool and most of the shops were closed and I wondered why someone had told me to go there for photographs. Little did I realize that shops everywhere in Paris were closed on Monday.
One block further south is a great cafe/restaurant of long standing, Le Papillon which we have enjoyed several times. Thanks for reminding me of this cafe with your nice photo.
