Merveilleux de Fred

As we rushed down the street, near the Hôtel de Ville, I caught sight of this beautiful shop. I mistakenly took it to be a boulangerie, but have found, thanks to several readers that this is the famous Merveilleux de Fred and they specialize in the most divine confections made of meringues and whipped cream. Please visit their website to read their story. I have since written to request permission to photograph their shop in more detail when I visit next month. I have my fingers crossed!

The drawing on the wall looks like the drawing of the backery called "Aux Merveilleux de Fred" located 24 rue du Pont Louis Philippe (closed to rue françois Miron).
Website of the backery : http://www.auxmerveilleux.com/histoire/
There are 6 backeries called "Aux Merveilleux de Fred" in Paris.

I agree with Sequana---Merveilleux de Fred. I'll walk by there tomorrow and double check, but I'm 99% certain that is correct. If so, then that is not bread but meringues that you are seeing in this photo.

Oh thank you all for your help with this. I will go back and change the text on the blog. I will be in Paris on the 12th of next month and this glorious place will be on my list. I had no idea it was meringues! I told my travel amie Mary this morning that I had not found the name and told her she and Peter probably didn't even see me stick my head in and snap the photos as they were ahead of me! Merci one and all.

365 Dresses, you are in Paris now? Maybe we can have that café when I'm there. Can you email me?

Bonjour chère amie,

Une boutique artistiquement belle et aux saveurs sucrées qui sont loin de me déplaire !
Très jolie photo.

Gros bisous ♡
