Paris Rouge - Les chaises

This evening, Mary and I dined inside as it started raining.  We were sorry to miss outside dining in these fabulous rouge chairs!

Je suis d'accord. Photo très parisienne. Que de rouge, que de rouge! Bon weekend, V. -- Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

I always find those tables just a bit small.

The red chairs are screaming for someone to come and sit, dine and chat.

Well the flip side is that you were then able to see all the lovely chairs, because there weren't any other diners sitting on them either...so therefore we get to see the fabulous chairs too!

Quintessential Paris. Every photo of yours I see, I think, now that could be a book cover.

Virg...where was that café, I can't place it?

Des chaises qui ne s'accordent à tous les habits.

I guess I can't feel too sorry for you since I'm stuck in gray, rainy Minnesota weather. . .without the rouge chairs!

Oh but how cozy and warm does it look inside! Gorgeous rich colours in this image Virginia. Do they still allow smoking in cafes in Paris these days, must admit that was the only thing that was uncomfortable!

Looks so Parisien & colorful - where is it, please?

You can always count on the rain in Paris.

For those wondering where, it's just past Metro Censier Daubenton on your way to Jardin des Plantes. Hope that helps.

Just lovely.

You should have asked them to open the red umbrella and sat under that! Oh well, you were in Paris, after all—and you got a great shot.

Awww, I am so disappointed for you. When I caught a quick glimpse of the place, my first reaction was Yes! This is definitely a Virginia place!

Love your photos....Love Paris...I could sit and have a coffee any day of the week and watch the world go by...

Just read a New York Observer article about NYC cracking down on sidewalk cafes--just in time for summer. Regulations about proving the cafes are on private property, etc., etc., etc. Can you imagine Paris without its sidewalk cafes? Such civilized sociability it is. Makes one wonder which way our country is headed, in many ways. Seems like the rules and regs are taking over our life--to our detriment.

Oh, isn't it frustrating to have the rain when you want to be outdoors? That happened to us almost every day in Paris -- I'd want to be in those chairs, too!

Nothing says Paris like a line of outdoor cafe tables!!!

Oh I love those red chairs. What a shame to have to be inside, but then you get all those lovely empty red chairs.
