Sunday Church Series - Église Saint-Étienne-du-mont

If you've visited the Panthèon, or seen the movie Midnight in Paris, you will recognize this beautiful church. This gorgeous Sunday afternoon, the sky made a beautiful backdrop.

Love the angle of your photo. An article about the interior of this church has prompted my 92 year old friend to make 'one last trip to Paris' in October on the condition that I go with her --- YES!!!

Beautiful church and the backdrop of blue skies makes it look even more striking. :)

To me, this church is special for many reasons—among them, it is my once-upon-a-time parish church, when I lived just down the hill on the place de l'Ecole Polytechnique.

I spent quite a bit of time in April at this church, sitting on the Midnight in Paris Steps, sketching, walking...The owner of La Dame Blanche on St Geneivieve described to me what the filming was like. As with Shakespeare & Co., Virginia, you are inspiring me to write a post on it...What sun & sky making the church even more lovely! Merci!

Yes and yes Virginia, but I now have an urge to do both again!
