Cercle d'amis
One of the many things I love about Paris is how friends seem to gather in the parks, a bottle of wine and just talk. I found this group at the Palais Royal ( of course) one summer day. What a great way to spend an afternoon n'est-ce-pas?

A great photo and you are right what is nicer than have a glass of whine with friends
Looks like a great gathering. Something I shall do a lot more often in deed.
Great crowd, food, drinks and all really great for a lifestyle
I´m ready. When do we meet?
tout à fait
you should introduce this custom in AL, weather permitting ... that is another story
neat shot
So animated they are, so alive!
What a great gathering of friends, how often do you see this in the US? They look like they are having such fun, totally engaged in the moment. Great shot!! :)♥♥
Amazing. The photo looks like a live one. I can truly see that the people looks like they are moving. Incredibly spectacular. financial advisor
Don't you love how you can never tell what the weather is like by looking at the French? Shorts, short-sleeved shirt and a leather jacket....all at the same place!
I wonder all sorts of things when I see this great group portrait—starting with How do they know each other? and What are they discussing? I'm also impressed that 10 people managed to gather together—here in NYC, at least half of them would be too busy to meet up.
Starman, I AGREE. This was the end of July and a mixed bag of clothing for sure. I"m convinced they have ice water running through their veins!
Alexa, I've never seen anything like this here, plus if you did manage to get 10 together, 9 would be bent over their iPhones. I say pull up the green chairs, pop some corks and enjoy a lovely afternoon with friends...at the Palais Royal!!!
It is interesting, isn't it? This is a very European thing...here in the states we congregate in coffee houses, but no one gathers...they all tend to zero in on their electronic media and occasionally chat when a friend strolls by. This happens in Glendale...with the Armenian immigrants...they tend to get together in the parks, playing chess, or just sitting around chatting. But it's usually just the older men...never women, and rarely younger men.
I'm glad to read the comments. I was feeling badly that I don't meet regularly with a dozen friends to shoot the breeze.
These are amazing photos. You really have captured the beauty of the city.
study abroad in paris
Hi V ... Thanks for bringing this photo us. So refreshing to see this gathering enjoying each others company, conversing face to face, not a phone in sight. Cheers J.

I love your banner shot!!!
A group of ten people... at least two bottles would be required! :-)
Peter, if it's our group, I"m afraid two bottles won't do it!
