Un petit trésor à Paris

Rarissime, fondee en 1658,  translates to "extremely rare".  Across the street from our flat last January, it is tucked under the Église Saint-Roch.  Not much bigger than my walk-in closet, it buys and sells antiques, old linens, and all manner of interesting collectibles.  Un trésor.

The bike shows how small the shop is!I'm wondering what they were selling in 1638...

I remember that boutique! It's very charming indeed and you have really done it justice with this photograph.

I´m wondering which colour the portal has in reality... Paris Rouge? Bleu?

I talked to the owner one day. This shop was originally selling religious items, then for some 200 years a barber shop.

I was talking about you again today!

Peter, I think I remember that you and Mary ventured in one night. Guess I was doing what I do...photographing you two! :) Thanks for that info!

Vreni, C'est brun.

A place so old, if it could talk I bet it could tell amazing stories

What you see from the windows is pretty much the whole shop... quite petite. It is hard to fathom all the history that has paraded past this old shop.

Vreni, it is a natural wood front and very rich against the stone walls of Église Saint-Roch.

Wonderful in b&w, V. What fun it would be to poke around in this place! But apparently you don't want to show up with a crowd.

C'est avec beaucoup de plaisir que je passe ici, car je sais que je vais voir un regard rarissime aussi !
Cette image nous transporte dans une autre époque, bravo Virginia.
