Portes rouges, Ciel bleu

Èglise Saint Urbain

This Sunday a visit back to Troyes, France. This church was closed by the time we arrived , but we enjoyed photographing the exterior.

Hi Virginia
We visit Troyes each time we are in France as our daughter lives quite close by.
We do the factory shops.... and I only occasionally find something. It's great for household stuff and childrens clothes.
We always go into Centre Ville for lunch - there's a creperie I love!
Last September we had magnificent Violet ice cream too - I wish I could replicate it here - so yummy!
Most unusual for the Cathedral to be closed.....

Thank you for taking me back to Troyes!!
Please come over and see me as I've just done a post on our Canal trip in France last year.

The contrast of the neutral tone of the building and the vivid red and blue is stunning! It is almost like you took a b/w photo and "painted" the colors. Just love this, Virginia -- I have not been to Troyes but this makes me want to take a little trip.

Did you Photoshop this?

Wong,
Thanks for your visits and nice comments!

Roses,
I'm sorry I didn't get inside as well. I'll be over to your place today for sure!

Starman, I wouldn't begin to know how to do this in Photoshop!

Genie,
It's a charming little town. Maybe we'll go together one day.

Maria,
Thank you so much.

The contrast of that red against the dingy concrete is just gorgeous!
