I just love reader requests. It makes my job so much easier. My dear StyleSpy mentioned moules last Thursday, and it reminded me that I had a few photos buried somewhere from a delicious déjeuner in Troyes, France! Voilá!
I realize now that I've had a few food photo shoots under my belt, that the top photo would have been a little better had I taken the photo BEFORE I plowed through half the pot but well..... I didn't. The bottom photo is all that remained...a pile of empty shells. Style's right, the creamy, garlicky, buttery juice is trés magnifique. Now I'm thinking a steaming pot of moules might be just the thing on a cold blustery day in Paris! Et peut-être un peu vin chaud??

Yum! This looks almost exactly like what we had for Christmas dinner. I'd happily join you in Paris on a blustery day for a pot of these and a bottle of wine!

Yum! There is a Brittany style restaurant in the 7th that has these as its specialty, and you are bringing back good memories with your wonderful shots! When you come to Seattle I will have to take you for some Penn Cove mussles (and you ARE going to get yourself out to Seattle one of these days, aren't you? !!! :-)

I"ve no idea. The best I remember it was near Notre Dame and Hôtel de Ville. I was with Meredith Mullins doing our sunset walkabout in the area. We were on Ile St. Louis. Don't worry. I have the laptop and I'm ready to blog from Paris!

That is the trouble with being a foodie and food photographer; it is difficult to refrain from eating before the photo session.
How about escargot pics? And of course, inside a boulangerie. If you find yourself at Poilan's, you must snap a pic of their world famous Miche!

There are some escargot shells! that I posted last summer. We had them polished off before i could think to grab a camera. Poilane?? You're on. Can't wait. I want a tartine there as well for lunch!
