Café Nemours is a favorite spot for us every trip. I love the simple trees at Christmas.

I've spent a lot of time here. We always have lunch at least once. The quiche is light and fluffy. On other days, we flop down in an outside chair and have a glass of wine and watch the world go by at Place Colette, while munching the ridiculously awful nibbles. We dream of the day Nemours offers cacahuètes!

As we all know, Paris can do Noël over the top, and then at the same time, par it down to just the simple. These green, fresh trees needed no decoration outside Café Nemours.

Déjeuner à Nemours

Café Nemours is a bit touristy but it adjoins my love, the Palais Royal, and it's a great place to sit and people watch. Last November, Martha, Sara and I waited for Mary to join us. A grand déjeuner with friends. Sweet memories.

Déjeuner à Nemours

Funny, I rarely take photographs inside cafés or restaurants in Paris, but this was our last lunch in Paris last January and as always I felt this compulsion to snap every possible image of Paris before I had to say, "Au revoir".  This lunch over a Croque-Monsieur, salade et vin, proved to be a treasure trove of images. You have already seen many of them.  Today a photograph I love, mainly for all the details that I unknowingly captured.
