Today's Sunday Paris church series leads us to the 20 arrondissement. Last June, Mary and I found this small but well kept cemetery behind the Église Saint Germain de Charrone. We were disappointed to find the church closed but this pretty little cemetery was a special find.

Tucked away behind the more substantial cross, it almost looks cast off blending with the brambles. Very effective shot, Virginia.

I have to agree with you. I thought headboard too but then the cross overhead might not be the thing! Harriet asked where the leaves were on that vine. Since it was June and there were none, I'm assuming the vine had died.

What a beautiful find Virginia. I love wrought iron work like this, and it is lovely in sepia. You clearly had a wonderful all around trip in June, with good company and rich discoveries... and I'm thinking you are probably already planning your next trip ?

Of course I'm planning and scheming but I don't know when I will get back. You are right, I had a wonderful trip. It just wasn't long enough! When I return, I hope we can find time to see Paris together.
