While wandering around the 6eme, I stepped into Le Labo, perfumes et scents. The very handsome and very friendly young man behind the counter could have sold me just about everything in the shop, but alas as always, un problème....euros.

How do I love thee! Her shops across Paris are an "experience". I dream of a bottle of her la violette fragrance. This was taken just off rue St. Honoré, on 14 Rue de Castiglione, 75001 Paris.

Les cadenas

L'Artisan Parfumeur, in the Marais is a favorite of mine.  This last trip they had adorned their window with this nod to the Locks of Love on many of the Paris bridges.

of a bottle of her divine violette parfum or eau de toilette or........something! Last summer Mary G. ( that's her going in the door ) and I ducked in for a little look around. I spritzed myself to a fair the well with the violette. Mary has another favorite. One day maybe we'll just waltz in there and throw down a lot of euros and buy till our heart's delight. .....or well.. maybe we'll just slip in for more free samples.

Mon Jour de Chance!

Many of you may remember that my talented artist friend Shellsherree, down under in Brisbane, recently used one of my Paris photos to produce a wonderful watercolor illustration, which she posted on her terrific blog. Well, I opened my mailbox a few days ago and voilà! Imagine my delight as I tore away the tissue and pink ribbons and found my very own Shellsherree original in my hands! I plan to frame it and hang it over my dressing table , so I can enjoy it each and every day when I splash myself with my violette eau de toilette. My friend KB recently called me a "girlie girl", I've been called worse.

La Parfumerie

Back to le Marais for another visit. I do believe I get more great photos per square foot in this area of Paris than anywhere else. Today, a pretty little parfumerie. I found the violette parfum I had been searching for but alas, that Euro thing again! La sigh.........
