Waiting impatiently for the sunset to sett from the roof of Galeries Lafayette. I love getting a bird's eye view of Paris. 

I'm Home!

Another fabulous trip to Paris is in the books. It was a jam packed 8 days, and I'm so grateful to my dear Paris travel amie Mary Gilbert, and my Paris ami Peter Olson, for making it all happen. It was a wonderful week in the city I know consider my second home. I can't wait to share my photographs with all of you, my faithful followers.

Mary and I trekked to the rooftop of Galeries Lafayette late one afternoon to capture the sunset.  I will never tire of this view!

Avant et après II

Continuing the series of images taken last November before and after the attacks on 13 novembre, 2015. 

On 13 novembre I had the pleasure of meeting Edouard de Bailliencourt, the Sales Representative , North America, for Galieries Lafayette for lunch and a tour of the beautiful store. After our lunch, I was free to roam the store taking photos of their fabulous Christmas decorations. I made sure to go up to the rooftop observation deck for a sweeping view of the city. The French flag flying atop the magnificent Opéra Garnier  caught my eye.

Note: It was with great sadness that we all mourn the injuries and loss of lives as a result of the attacks on the city of Brussels today.

Mini Meeps Goes To Paris

Many of you, especially Facebook friends know my chic chat noir Meeps. She's a scarf loving kitty who loves Paris from afar. Each trip I make, she nestles into my suitcase in hopes that she can steal away and join her Parisian cousins. Well a dear blog friend knitted me a Mini Meeps, complete with scarves, and I took her along the last two trips to Paris. Today Mini Meeps as she gazes over the city of Paris from the rooftop deck of Galeries Lafayette. Stay tuned for more Meeps adventures.

Coucher du soleil

The rooftop of Galeries Lafayette is the perfect spot to watch the sunset in Paris. In the winter months you can capture it all and it's a photo frenzy with cameras, phones, and Ipads! I like to think it a little perk for braving Paris in the colder months. In the spring and summer, the rooftop closes well before sunset. Quelle dommage.
