 A cool, shady place to run free. We found that most tourists flock to Tuileries and it's a mad house in the summer. This was the perfect park to enjoy with the grandchildren.

In 2009, Davis was driving a moro at the Jardin d'Acclimatation. Now, he's gotten his driver's permit! Time flies.

Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, is a must if you're traveling to Paris with children, or even if you're not!

Today we return to Île de la Cité to visit the Sunday Bird Market. If you're visiting Paris with children, put this on your list. Of course there are colorful birds, but rabbits, guinea pigs and gerbils. It's worth a stroll through.

Été au Bois - Moto Envy

Today we revisit the delightful Jardin d'Acclimatation in the Bois de Bologne. Davis found plenty of Paris motor to ride in the amusement park.

If you've never visited Paris with children then more than likely you have never experienced le Jardin d'Acclimatation! Located in the Bois de Bologne, it's a delightful place to spend the day with les enfants. It combines a charming little amusement park, boat rides, gardens, petting zoo and a playground with many activities for all ages. This climbing structure looked like la Tour Eiffel to us. Try and calculate how high it goes. The French have a more lenient approach to playgrounds!

When you travel to Paris with children, you discover all of the wonderful parks and playgrounds it offers. I think this might have been in Tuileries. Davis loved it!

Envie de moto

Nine years ago we stayed in a flat in Paris for three weeks. Davis was just four at the time. It didn't take him long to develop a respect for motos! He also loved spotting Smart Cars and delighted in screaming, "SMART CAR!" every single time.

 June, 2009, we spent three weeks in Paris with Davis and Eva. It didn't take Davis long to learn about the awesomeness of Parisian motos!

Eleven years ago this week, we visited Paris together. One of the most wonderful weeks in my life. Amazingly, even at age 5, Eva still remembers that trip to Paris. Here she rode the carrousel at Tuileries all alone as it was cold and most Parisian children was not in the parks. That trip not only sparked my love of Paris, but also for photography. The rest is history!

I don't know if there are sweeter memories of Paris than this day when Eva and Davis visited la Tour Eiffel for the first time. We had a lovely picnic close by and then we discovered this little playground. 

Playing in Paris - Follow the Leader

June 2009, we were in Paris along with our Birmingham friends, the Wilson's. This grand afternoon Eva, Davis, Katherine and Ethan had so much fun parading around the Pol Bury Fountain at the Palais Royal. Later, they ran and played in the dirt building a little fairy house in the gardens. A very special time for all of us.
