Of course I love dining with friends in Paris, the more the merrier, but lunch, glass of wine, or a special cup of tea or chocolat chaud alone is always lovely. Ladurée on Bonaparte is a place I seem to always go back to. My favorite is rose petal ice cream and violet tea.

Let Them Eat Macarons!
This from Les Marquis de Ladurée, their new chocolat boutique. Sadly I didn't go inside but you can read more about this sinfully delicious shop on the great blog Paris In Four Months here.

Bienvenue à Ladurée!
Yesterday I had a little puzzle for you and the winner is..........Veronique ( French Girl in Seattle), who correctly guessed that I was sitting on the steps of the Panthéon when I took the photograph. Thank you all for joining in the fun. Wayne so kindly pointed out that there seemed to be no prize and I gently reminded him that the personal satisfaction of winning was worth far more than un petit cadeau!

Day 5 - Blogfest!

Oh what a great day of friends and fun. We started out with a quick trip to the Arc de Triomphe. Actually I've photographed it from afar but never been right there to see it in all its grandness. Just a beautiful memorial. We walked the Champs Elysees, stopping for coffee and a little shopping. Then a quick taxi ride to the Cafe Madeleine for lunch with Mary's adorable French teacher Cecile. Next, Au Printemps for a whirlwind trip through that fabulous store. We met bloggers Alice (Arradon DP) and Peter (Peter's Paris) for tea and macarons at Laduree nearby. What fun to get to see Alice again! We headed to rue St. Honore and stopped at Colette. What a store! After a short respite at the apartment, we took the bus to the Marais to meet our friend Richard Nahem, founder of http://www.eyepreferparis.com/. We ended the evening with a great pizza at a neighborhood cafe.
Bonne nuit!

Virtually Delicieux!
Mes chers amis, pardon, pardon, pardon!!!!! for the sleeper (yawn.....) post yesterday. Today I try and make up for it by posting one of the most delightfully frou-frou shops in Paris, Ladurée, the mecca of macarons of course! Regretfully ( I cannot begin to describe how regretfully ) when we stopped by here last August, the shop was closed. Do you see my nose prints on the window?? Oh wait, maybe those are the adorable chien prints that they used for their newest fab packaging and displays!! I am showing you everything including the parfum, soaps and candles I spotted inside the shop. I must go back and see it all on my next visit. For now, just close your eyes and imagine one of those scrumptious macarons melting in your mouth!! Shell Sherree? Darlin' I hope you enjoy this post today!
