Funny, I rarely take photographs inside cafés or restaurants in Paris, but this was our last lunch in Paris last January and as always I felt this compulsion to snap every possible image of Paris before I had to say, "Au revoir". This lunch over a Croque-Monsieur, salade et vin, proved to be a treasure trove of images. You have already seen many of them. Today a photograph I love, mainly for all the details that I unknowingly captured.
I loved the lighting in this cafe. I must go there when I get the chance. I am so happy that you took this pic...it is tres magnifique! (also posted it to my wall at facebook.)
ReplyDeleteI´ve been to Nemours only once and was lucky enough to sit outside (on a sunny November day in 2009). Thanks to you I now know how it looks inside. I love it! Must go back there!
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful "memoirs de Paris".

Lovely lamps, great ambiance, it's a charming place, it's PARIS! :)

Such a rich and warm scene ~ no wonder you had the impulse to capture it, V.
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS. And I love the lighting you get in your photos; it has a mood to it that makes me feel as if I am THERE. Bonne journée, Virginie! Anita
ReplyDeleteThis photo truly captures the ambiance of Nemours and I love the golden tones and lighting.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a magical, very Parisian place!
ReplyDeleteBonne appetit!
Its fabulous
ReplyDeleteYes you're right Virginia, there's so much to see in this image, the reflections at the side, the artwork in the background and of course the symmetry of those beautiful lamps. Excellent shot.
ReplyDeleteI like the mood here, the soft light, I can hear the sweet noise of forks and knives against plates, people murmuring together...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great angle! I think the perspective it what allows the viewer to notice those wonderful details you've captured so well. Thanks, Virginia!
ReplyDeleteI take inside pictures....a lot. Rarely does anyone seem to mind. I'm glad you took this one. If I ever get back to Paris, I'd like to go there.
ReplyDeleteI also love the way you've captured the light in this shot, V. Last time I was here, I sat where the gray-haired man is sitting. (Yes, that was a sigh you heard.)
ReplyDeleteI liked the point of view there!
ReplyDeleteIs this cafe across the street and down from Notre Dame??? Looks very familiar!!! Great photo...
ReplyDeleteThis is really PARIS :-)
ReplyDeleteI was looking to more posts

Paris is Unique :)
I feel the same at the end of our vacations and the pictures usually show it...
ReplyDeleteI don't think that could be anywhere but Paris. Such a warm, inviting photo. It says 'Come back'!
ReplyDeleteOh I do wish you would stop this...lol!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis amazing cafe was very close to where we stayed last year and we were 'regulars'.....this photo brings back so many wonderful memories....Thank You!! (till next year...!)
Looks like the perfect French cafe. Almost has a nostalgic feel to it, like the woman on the right could be from another time.
ReplyDeleteWhat? You didn't go to McDonald's? (Looks like a great place!)
ReplyDeleteUn endroit certainement magique...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
I woul love to take a coffee here!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot!
All of it, especially the expression of the woman in the right foreground.
