The dancers on rue Mouffetard each Sunday have provided me with endless pleasure and many photographs. You met this lady and gentleman here. Today, they dance for you.
Hi ! I went to rue Mouffetard for the very first time not so long ago and loved the Sunday market atmosphere. You captured that feeling in a very awesome manner
Quintessential Paree! Isn't it wonderful how people in the City of Light seem so much freer and more able to express themselves than people in Memphis or Ocala?
I just love your shots of the rue Mouffetard dancers. This one seems fitting in b&w—she almost looks like she could be from another time. Très sympa, V!
Costas, I'd love to but I'm afraid we'll be called a pair "of a certain age" and everyone will marvel that we can still hobble around! HA
I'm glad you all enjoyed this couple as much as I did. In looking back over my photos from different trips, I believe I"ve photographed them with other partners. It's seems to be a group of faithfuls that gather each week with others that join in. They dance with each other and anyone brave enough to put down their camera and try it. Don't worry, I stayed firmly on the curb snapping away. I know my place!
I suspect each of the dancers delight in the attention. They were a disappointment the one only time I remembered to get myself down there on a Sunday afternoon. I shall be much closer next May, so shall try to get there more often. A glass of vin always helps my 'eye' unwind, too.
Ils sont très mignons, tes amis, Virginia. Madame est très focused! ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

I'm always surprised to see that they're usually not very young,But their passion for dance keep them young.

ReplyDeleteHi Virginia,
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white photograph of the dancers.
What it tells me is no matter what age you are, you can do anything and enjoy life.
Happy week
