All Apple Stores are designed alike but the Apple Store Opéra, really is a step above don't you think? They did a terrific job keeping the fine architectural details when they renovated of this beautiful building.
And the blue tee shirts and friendly, knowledgeable staff were just what you would expect from your hometown Apple store!

Leave it to the Parisiens!
Beauty, beauty, and more beauty...now this is a computer store I would enjoy very much :)

Apple mania. I usually run away when i see the sign of apple.
I think a lot of retailers could learn much from Apple's customer service. I have only ever had good experiences with Apple instore or online.
Very tasteful and respectful of the nature of the surrounds. And nicely shot, dear V!!
Virginia, you should mention though that if you have a problem with any of their products you do need an appointment or you are in trouble;.. for those of us who travel from brussels (believe it or not, we do not have an apple store - a real one I mean- in Belgium) this can be rather unpleasant. But as of now, the world will know;.. make an appointment !!
Well now, I've never been in an Apple store, so the most familiar thing to me here is the beautiful ironwork grilles on the doors.
I have to say, those loose-fitting, untucked blue shirts don't look terribly Parisian from here. I wonder if they have become a sign of ultra-hipness, or if the employees change out of them before going home on the métro. :D
Anni,
Sorry you didn't know this. There's an app for that! Get the free Apple Store app and you can make appt. and when you walk in the store it will let them know you're there.
Alison,
The tee shirts are the same for Apple employees all over the world and employees take them off or but a jacket over them whenever they leave the store. I worked for Apple for a while and my first day wearing my Apple shirt and lariat was a big day for me. If you wear it outside you risk of having to listen to everyone's computer woes on the street or the Metro! :)
Hmm. I tried in vain to get help with blogging (adding a photo) on my Ipad2..all the apps I buy crash. It is still a beautiful place and the employees polite.
Very charming, I love those windows and the doorway!

Were you allowed to keep your blue teeshirt when you left? :-)
All Apple stores should look like this! I do love that the original architecture remains and that the functionality works around this gorgeous building.
My favorite product! Very posh! :)
you need to visit the Apple store on Prince Street in SoHo .. all of the architectural beauty was retained and amplified ..
Daryl, I'd love to see it and the glass one in Manhattan (?) too!
Janey, I'd hate to try and blog on an iPad but they should be able to solve that for you!
Peter,
Since I could never wear it, I donated it to the employees as "extras". I also gave them the one I bought in Paris that had the IPad on it!
Kristie, moi aussi!
What beautiful digs for the Apple Store Opéra! I too have nothing but praise for those friendly, helpful, knowledgable folks in the blue T-shirts. V, were you here at an off-hour? This doesn't look nearly as crowded as any of the NYC stores.
Now I would be very happy to visit this store and stay a while. Great photo V F xx
Amazing!
It is gorgeous, Virginia, and I love the high perspective you found. The only Apple stores I have been in have been the usual glass encased high-modern mall stores. It is good to know that they will fit their interior style into historic shells, too. Then again, Apple is very smart.
You worked at an Apple store? Will wonders never cease?
Not a fan of Apple, no matter where they build their store!
You captured the elegance well. I loved going to the one at the Louvre!
