Cave La Bourgogne

This café at the foot of rue Mouffetard seems to be a place we always return to for a good meal at a good price.  This night, as we said farewell to friends, I turned and took a parting shot.  Fond memories of many meals shared here.

Le Beau Chapeau

On a Sunday last June I joined mes chère amies, Mary, Anne, Marie, Genie, Janet and Maya for a delicious lunch at la Bourgogne on rue Mouffetard. Can't you just hear all of our chatter and laughter?? I was taken by a young woman who came in with her friends wearing this lovely confection of a hat. I suspect they had been to church, most likely for a wedding. I wanted to take her picture wearing it, but she took it off and placed it on this shelf before I could. I setttled for this shot.

Déjeuner á la Bourgogne

La Bourgogne, on rue Mouffetard is a great little place for lunch. That's my cassoulet of jambon et fromage at the bottom. May I just say I ate every bite. The sauce was creamy and cheesy and well, you know! And the top photo just says Paris café to me!

A special "Merci" to our dear Parisian amie Anne who chose this delightful place for the lunch we shared that day!

Paris Rouge XIV - Café Crème

This délicieux cup of café crème should warm you up on this cold winter day. Actually, I prefer expresso in Paris, but my friend's red cup with that great carafe d'eau in the background looked so inviting I had to have a photo!
