Stately

 Église de la Madeleine, was designed as a temple to Napolean's army, hence it's commanding soaring columns. It's a magnificent church now.

Église Saint-Merri, built in 1550, is adjacent to the Stravinsky Fountain and the Centre Pompidou and in great need of restoration.

Les trésors de Paris - Sainte-Chapelle


The fires at Notre Dame this week,  made me more mindful of all the other historical, religious, architectural treasures I think we take for granted in Paris. I've only visited Sainte-Chapelle once in 2008. I hope I will be able to visit Paris again and spend time in this beautiful sacred space.
