It's July 1 and by now you know that it means THEME DAY for City Daily Photobloggers around the world. For our theme, I selected a photo from November, 2014. From the Passerelle Debilly, I watched the owner unload groceries from his car to the boat. I eventually wandered down and had a brief conversation. I learned he was an artist and that if I could come back a little later, after he had finished his work, he would show me around his péniche (houseboat). Sadly I had to be on my way!

Looks nice, and I love the colour.
ReplyDeleteMust be a fantastic place to use in the big city.
One of my fantasies is to live on a barge/houseboat in Paris on the Seine for about a year. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteOh I would have gone back for the tour.
ReplyDeleteAch!!! What a missed opportunity!!! Looks a lot like the canals of Amsterdam...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Too bad you couldn't go back for the tour.
ReplyDeleteI've never been on a péniche but would love to do so. I've always wondered what these folks pay to (permanently) dock in mid-Paris.
ReplyDeleteAn opportunity blown. If you guys hit it off, you would be living on a boat on the Seine today.
ReplyDeleteOooh! What a wonderful opportunity. I would love to board one of those boats on the Seine.
ReplyDeleteNice view!
ReplyDeletequite sure he would have shown you his etchings, Viva la France
ReplyDeleteQuite a colourful boat!
