Paris Rouge - Le géranium

Église Saint Germain de Charonne

My, my, this brocante series is taking a life of its own.  Two days ago I posted a photo of the grande brocante in the 20 éme that Mary whisked me to.  That led to yesterday's post of the boy serving mint tea and sweets there.  Mary commented that although we didn't buy anything ( except tea) that I did get the good shot of the red geranium in the little church cemetery so all was not lost.  You see where this is headed.  Today, I *repost one of my favorite Paris Rouge shots.  Tomorrow, I might just find a few more and make a week of it!

* As we all know, but just don't talk about, I am guilty of reposting photos from time to time.  I thank you for your patience and understanding.

  1. Your images are so beautiful, they always take me away to glorious " wish I was there" moments...so of course you are allowed to repost them many times!

  2. The colour composition in this image is terrific V. Nothing like a splash of red against grey to make a point of interest. There is also nothing like a flower at a cemetery to reminisce of loved ones lost.

  3. Reruns ROCK!
Which trip was that? I'll try to see what I have from that day and "peut-être" I could have a guest shot on PTML...non?

  4. This image pleases me so much. And I meant to leave a comment on the bells in the brocante post but had a computer problem. Very nice, both.

  5. Love the geranium (there is such dignity in France for the dead) and the new header photo!

  8. Good old geraniums, they have a simple charm that brightens up any scenario. Re post whenever you like Virginia, your images well deserve a second (and third) look:)

  10. I've been known to re post a time or two...once within a week of each other!!!

My mom had this color of geranium and white ones on her back porch...like, forever!!! I inherited them...but sadly...when I moved up to Mammoth, they stayed in Glendale and didn't get the care needed to stay alive (ie: water!)...when I was down there this past week, I saw the remains in the back yard....When we move back...or at least off the mountain...I'll be sure to get a new one or two!!!
