We continue on our little trip to the grande brocante. Today, another bright spot, the organ grinder. He was a happy fellow and some even danced. Mary and I did not.
I've included a BW and color photo in a feeble attempt to please all of the readers all of the time. HA!
Il est très sympa! :D

Monsieur Organ Grinder looks like a very jolly fellow. Such a nice way to liven up the streets.
ReplyDeleteI am pleased ... Well done, V!
ReplyDeleteBelle moustache Monsieur Le Joueur d'orgue! -- Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteHe's great! I can almost hear the music!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful experience! Shades of so long ago. In all my years of living in France I have yet to come across Monsieur Organ Grinder.

Looks wonderful no matter how you color him! How delightful -- I've yet to meet an organ grinder, but I'd love to! Seems so classic!
ReplyDeleteLove the B& W portrait Virginia, what a very impressive mustachio!
ReplyDeleteWith all the gloom and doom in the USA what a refreshing and uplifting sight to start my day. Thank you for this photo. It is a gentleman like this that is a true artist and teacher.
ReplyDeleteI can see him singing along as well .
ReplyDeleteVirg...next time we'll dance...
ReplyDeleteI like the B& W portrait!
ReplyDeleteYour "feeble" (not!) attempt worked with me. I love his face—and his jaunty casquette!
ReplyDeleteMary, that is up for some discussion!

There used to be an organ man who walked around the streets of the 12é with his daughter. I think I'm the only one in our block who gave them money.
ReplyDeleteThere is a great face for you! This time I prefer the black and white, probably because you came in closer and eliminated everything except the intriguing face.
ReplyDeleteUne tête qui rappelle Gabin.
ReplyDeleteI like the color for this colorful character.
ReplyDeleteHaha!!! Love the organ grinder...haven't seen one of those in...well...I think I saw one when I was a pretty little kid!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you ventured into the black and white one...I agree with Jack!!!
Love him! The black and white is great, and very evocative, I can totally hear the music!
