Oui, oui et oui. Black, black and black. The shoes don't do it for me but the hair surely does! I found Monsieur doing a little work on his computer during lunch outside Saint Julien-le Pauvrein theSquare René-Viviani.
I would agree Monsieur looks very French... or more specifically Parisian. The shoes don't surprise me that much-- or the three-day beard look, "à la Serge Gainsbourg..." -- Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
He looks so at home - as though he does this daily! Have taken a page out of your Paris Rouge series - hope you don't mind - it kept leaping out at me on a very grey day in Sydney! Have linked it back to you! Thank you for the inspiration. Francesa x
The gentlemen is very typical: velvet jacket paired with comfy shoes is very Parisian. The stereotype has been broken. This IS the look seen quite often. Tiny downplay of the style.
Ooooo! He looks very handsome from the back..(and like from the front if i could see hi.) And yes.. his hair is great. His shoes, not so much, but to each his own and all! :)
Good one, V! I'm willing to ignore his shoes simply because his hair is so great. I married my husband partly because he had hair like this—and divorced him partly because he started cutting it real short! :~}
I love all the comments above, sometimes it's worth coming in late to a great image to read the comments. I have to say this gentleman certainly look s like he's sat in this spot many times, very relaxed..and I heard a rumour that more and more Parisians are wearing sneakers these days..quel horreur!! haha!

I completely agree .. in fact I looked and thought "oh no, what awful shoes but that's almost Patrick Dempsey hair!"

ReplyDeleteA relaxing déjeuner in the park on one of Paris' millions of distinctive green benches... parfait!
ReplyDeleteWhy work when one is suppose to rest!

Ooh la la! Oui, the hair, black attire go hand and hand. The shoes not so much! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend, Virginia!

ReplyDeleteNah, he is from Indiana. Bloomington, to be precise.
ReplyDeleteI'm imagining he's Richard Gere from the front.
