Paris flower shop + old door = photo stop! As much as I love street photography while in Paris, I must admit that a vignette such as this one always stops me in my tracks. And from the looks of that chair, I'm thinking it's stopped me before.
Today I join the group at James' Weekend Reflections right HERE!
Au Nom de la Rose
87 rue Saint- Antoine
75004 Paris
I know this place. When they raise eyes a bit, they see rather strange facades, and then, there is the balcony of chimeras also.
To answer your question, no, I still do not have a swim, but soon.
It's spectacular, V, and you have such a beautiful eye for such vignettes. Happy weekend to you and Meepsie.
ReplyDeleteLove the grunge on that old door.
ReplyDeleteThe old door is giving all its value to the beauty and freshness of flowers!
ReplyDeleteCan almost smell the perfume...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
I LOVE the old door, the chair and "Au nom de la rose" in general. I´ve passed the shop in Rue Saint-Antoine A LOT of times!
ReplyDeleteLove this photo stop very much: Yesterday & Today, beautiful flowers to enjoy for a moment and a weathered door being there for centuries...
ReplyDeleteCongrats dear Virginia for Girl's Guide in Paris feature!
And you're only one admirer away from 700 ! Yey!!!
Natalie
vraiment charmante cet endroit... La boutique de la fleuriste met en valeur cette belle porte ou... ne serait-ce pas cette belle porte qui mettrait la boutique en valeur?!...
ReplyDeleteTrès belle photo.
Gros bisous à vous et bon week-end.
Beautiful! It's dark and dreary here today in Oregon, your photo makes me feel sunny and happy!
ReplyDeleteLovely vignettes Virginia! Flowers always stop me in my tracks be it in the grocery store, florist shop, or outside. Nothing cheers me up like flowers!
ReplyDeleteI like the texture of old doors like this one. Nice shot, Virginia.
ReplyDeleteNatalie, I"ve been sitting at 699 followers for days. I wonder who will put me over the top! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just tried to be # 700 (but it still says 699). Was going to say what Shell said, i.e., there's that eye again. Love this, V! Bon weekend.
ReplyDeleteI shop here every time I go to Paris - an Ontario friend loves their stuff
ReplyDeleteHello Virginia,
ReplyDeleteI'm quite a fan of your gorgeous photography and your blog. There's a tiny Nom du Rose down the street from 'my' apartment in the 7th. Please take a look-see at my photos of this lovely shop:
