As we walked back to the Métro from a party late one evening, I took a quick shot of the chairs all lined up and as luck would have it...... a waiter walked out! I think this might be one of my favorites from this trip.
I agree—you've captured perfectly that moment in time. And it looks like you were shooting from the hip. But I want to hear about the party! (These days I'm living in Paris vicariously through you and Genie, you know.)
Favorite photo or favorite waiter? I know you!!! I had to turn off your music to reminisce with two versions of "Closing Time." Leonard Cohen's old one and Semisonic's newer one. Go to YouTube.
I wonder just how many people sat on those chairs through that day drinking coffee and admiring the chic people walking by! Wish one of them had been moi!! Beautiful image Virginia.
Yes, I love it! Puts me right there. I'm loving so many of your photographs...very glad I stumbled upon your blog by clicking on "On Rue Tatin" in my profile!
One day I will be in Paris. For now I can enjoy the experience through your lens.
Ooh I'm so glad I saw this post in my side bar.
ReplyDeleteI too love this one - you've captured a special moment!
How could I have missed your week in Paris - I'm going back to read through all these posts!
Did you get your Calender from Jardin d’Acclimatation??
