It is often amazing what can be seen growing on parisian window sills and terraces, sometimes entire forests on rooftop spaces... or walls, even entire houses covered in ivy... You are absolutely right, every square centimetre counts...
Moi aussi, big fan of the new header (but I love all your headers). Also love the wabi sabi shutters. When I lived here, my cat knocked a plant off the windowsill one day (and it barely missed some innocent passerby, bien sur). The concierge and I had words, but I stuck to my guns: "Plante? Quelle plante, madame??" I love this shot, V.
I´m a big fan of window gardens! And in Paris there are a lot of them. I also love the shutters in this photo.
ReplyDeleteThe window is absolutely gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm delighted by your header, so wonderful artwork!

Even without flowers, these look lovely.
ReplyDeleteShabby chic to perfection Virginia!
ReplyDeleteAs a Parisian, I have a similar "front yard", except mine is mostly weeds!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo! It makes me realize how fortunate we are to have a yard!

ReplyDeleteGreat scene of shabby chic à Paris... The header is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteShabby chic or shabby? Hmmm. I am still thinking . . .
ReplyDeletei have often wondered why shutters like these look chic in Paris and in urgent need of a paint job in Brussels !
ReplyDeleteAhh, but have you ever walked past one of these places just after they've watered their 'jardin'?
ReplyDeleteSame when living in Nice!..:o)

Love the soft color of the building and the shutters...the green foliage and the dark orange-red planters work perfectly for a great shot.
