I've already posted at least two photographs from this stroll through the Palais Royal, that rainy day last January. Fini? Bien sûr que non!!! This chubby cheeked boy was just walking into my shot. I have more. I hope you won't mind.
Ah, les colonnes de Buren, one of the most controversial structures to hit Paris in the last thirty year. Another remnant of the Mitterand presidency. I love the Louvre pyramid, or la Grande Arche in la Défense, but I have never quite gotten used to these striped things I must confess. Great shot, Virginia. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Wonderful reflections here Virginia and the little fella too cute, we were on the same wavelength today! Looking forward to more. Have a great weekend.
The place still intrigues visitors from all over... funny, I photographed those chrome balls 25 years ago... in 1986 when I was living in a chambre de bonne as a student. Still have that photo somewhere...

ReplyDeleteSome days I like les colonnes de Buren, others I'm not so sure. Today, I like them!
ReplyDeleteDon't know the colonnes de Buren, but the photo is very nice and the boy looks perfect there. Gives movement to the shot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

Excelent BW photo
ReplyDeleteI will not mind at all... These little guys were adorable, running through the rain and over/around the columns. Glad you were clicking away!
ReplyDeleteWow, I've missed some great photos this week. The one from summer, 2009 made me feel all nostalgic, and it's not even my memory.
ReplyDeletemind? bien sûr que non ! adorable, the guy and the picture
ReplyDeleteShell took the words right out of my mouth. And mind? Mais non! Bring it on—especially when your shot includes an adorable petit garçon.
ReplyDeleteI like his hat. I want one.

ReplyDeleteFábio, framework works perfectly and I think you for the nice comment!
ReplyDeleteDavide, thank you for visiting my blog today and leaving such a nice comment. I hope you will come by often.
Ah, yes, I remember this place. Earlier your many buddies all debated about a businessman striding through it while on a cellphone.

ReplyDeleteI love the rainy mood, and the child passing by; I don't like Buren's work, and not evn the man himself..
