The Jardin des Plantes is a lovely spot to spend the day. The shady allées, the well tended gardens and in addition there is a dear little carrousel and zoo for the children.
I'm longing for that grass more than anything! After such a wet summer, our winter has been incredibly dry. There's not much grass to be found resembling this lush lot.
Ooooh .... Love the lush flowers and thick carpet of grass. Ready to stroll through there with you ... Even in August, I am sure it is cooler there than here!
Oh, what fun we had with Mary and Marie as we snapped like paparazzi through this garden... These blooms are gorgeous! Wish we were there... (how many times a day do I say/think that!)
Very nice, Virginia, and I like the lush and colorful flowers. This place does not sound familiar to me, even after looking at Wikipedia. Not sure I have been there.
