July, 2009 I stayed in a lovely hotel in the 16 eme. ( Sorry I can't recall the name!) I passed this lovely apartment building at least 3 or 4 times a day on my way to the Métro or RER. Those red awnings always caught my eye.
Hi I live in the 16th and now you are going to have me checking out every hotel as I pass by. What metro where you near? It is a lovely hotel and I love how the red stands out in your photograph. Brenda
So typically French! I love the red too Virginia; it contrasts against the black iron balconies too

Lovely !
ReplyDeleteVirginia, my camera has a "red magnet" too and I am glad that you captured these awnings. Love that ironwork on the balconies.
ReplyDeleteBrenda,
ReplyDeleteThis is an apt. bulding. My hotel was up the street and around the corner. It faced a cute little triangle shaped park. Metro stop - Pereire.
What a great reminder to look up!

That red really pops here! We always reap the benefit of your upward glances, but I hope you don't get a crick in your neck!
ReplyDeleteStunning red with the cream building, green leaves and black ironwork. Love your Paris red series, merci
