Gloria - Sunday Paris Churches Series

Temple Sainte-Marie on rue St. Antoine in the Marais.

Mary and I ducked in here one afternoon as it was the first time I had seen the huge red doors of this church open! There was a gospel group rehearsing so we sat in the back and listened for a while. I fell in love with the lovely cherubs that graced each window. As I was trying not to intrude, I snapped this one from my seat. As it turned out, the angle was pleasing to me.

  1. I like you understated text here, nearly as much as I like your shot, with its birds-eye-view perspective.

  2. That's a beuatiful photo - I like the way the window frames the cherub. It reminds me of a paisley pattern.

  3. Beautiful photo. It's always such a rare treat to happen into a church in Paris and hear a rehearsal of some sort. Magical.

  6. Starman,
You could be right. I photographed the historical marker outside the church. It was en français so I could have missed something!

I forgot to add that the gospel singing was in French!

I don't know that I"ve ever been accused of "understated text"! :) Merci
