French Stranger # 56
Well you know by now, I am often drawn to the artists when I'm roaming around Paris and the French countryside with my camera. The top photo is artist Françoise Daganaud. I met her at Vivienne Art Galerie last summer. Her unusual paintings of African children really appealed to me. Sadly I didn't see her there this past visit.
I met the artist below in a small gallery in Joigny, France. He graciously showed me around his shop. I enjoyed seeing his work, as well as that of his wife.

What a wonderful idea to photograph the artist as well. It makes the memory of what you saw and how it made you feel so memorable.. Very clever indeed!

You probably would agree that there is nothing worse than seeing something that stops you in the tracks and thinking I must..I must.. and then you realise .....no camera! One of life's most fustrating moments especially when you own more than you care to think of!

I'll try to keep that in mind as I head off on my trip tonight. I'll miss seeing your daily Paris photos while I'm away, but when I get back I'll have fun catching up!
