Good Morning Sunshine!

Fontaine-Fourches and all the surrounding villages have the most amazing sunflower fields. These sunflowers are grown for sunflower oil. Our group had a grand time photographing these sunny fields.

About face!

tarts she made for us!

  1. Wow, very lovely. We're getting splashes of yellow in Oz right now with our native Wattles 'Springing' early.

  2. Sunflowers are so rangy and misbehaved and loud -- I just love them.

  4. They border on being unsubtle. Where and when I was in the Languedoc, the sunflowers had gone black. They were gorgeous in a totally different way. Strange to have a flower tower over one ... even though most things tower over ME!

It's Friday where I am - back to civilisation with you, young lady!

  5. Wow - what kind of camera and lens are you using? You can see the hairs on the back of the bee. I didn't even know they had hairs.

  6. K,
I'm using my good ole Canon Rebel with the lens that came with it. Sometimes I can make it work for me and other times not so much!HA

    Julie,
Oui, off to shoot the City of Lights with the group. Sunday DC Confidential, Janet Kincaid, Maya and Peter and I will have a [photobloggers' marathon kind of day. I can here the laughter and shutters snapping now. I leave for home on Wed. I prefer not to discuss that detail!HA

  7. Aww V - Just today I reminded Dave that he hadn't brought me any sunflowers yet this summer. He'll be relieved to know you filled in for him. Beautiful pics! Hey - you told AH (in her post to her Loose Friend in Paris - oh no that wasn't what she said - her friend was loose in Paris - I think that's it - that it was too early to toast her at 8:00 AM BUT it's 5:00 PM SOMEPLACE - go for it!

  10. I actually have sunflowers in my garden as that's what the siskins eat and poop the seeds back out. Just wanted to share that with you. That top shot is outstanding.
