Petit Dejuener
Many of my friends have asked me to show you what I've been eating here. Well that would take many many photos, but today a sampling of the delicious meals we've had here in the French countryside.
(There were more photo ops but we ate them too quickly!)
Escargots - what was left after a delicious entree!
Fromage
One of our favorite entrees - tomatoes, cucumbers, olive oil and chives
Croissants
Oh, the pleasures and sins of the French diet, all beautifully displayed. In a few weeks I'll be offered yak stew, yak yogurt, yak butter tea, probably yakburgers without a fried potato in sight, and little balls of ground barley with yak glop of some kind. I expect to lose weight.
ReplyDelete*grin* at Bob's comment.
ReplyDeleteI am astounded at this breakfast - is that right that it is breakfast? Where is the coffee?
It looks absolutely wonderful but not something I could consume and then 9 to 5 on ...
Julie, I'd consume this any time, day or night.
ReplyDeletebob, sweeten your breath with a tic-yak; it's only one calorie.
The escargots, «Louis» can live without, thank you. You are welcome to ALL of «Louis's» share...
ReplyDeletepssst: «Louis» will trade you his share of escargots for your share of croissants....
Louis,
ReplyDeleteI don't trade croissants for anything but champagne!
AH and Bob-Yakkety yak...don't talk back!
Julie,
What you don't see is plenty of coffee and pain au chocolat and croissants. :)
Mmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteMerci mille fois for these fabulous food photos V! It's all about the food! Those escargots shells are beautiful (and what yummy garlicky morsels inside I bet). The top photo is pure eye candy for me. As long as the croissants were just off camera, that's where I want to be right now!!
ReplyDeleteI just put on 5 lbs reading this .. may I have another helping of those tomatoes please
ReplyDeleteYou have got exactly what I need for the lunch I have still to prepare...
ReplyDeleteReady to trade for Champagne!
It's a good thing I'm going to be there in a couple of months.
ReplyDeleteI just love everything you show us on these wonderful photos! I've just had my dinner now but I think I still could have some of that cheese and olives... :-)
ReplyDeleteYuumy ...
ReplyDeletejoolliiieess:-)
Yummy! It all looks so delicious. But I'm not sure about the snails!
ReplyDeleteNo to the snails. On that I recoil into my veggie shell. Beautifully lit yummies.
ReplyDeleteThe escargot was wonderful, except much too pricey. I'd have added some mozzarella and balsamic to the tomato, cucumber entree. But the croissant...need I say more?
