Today is City Daily Photo Theme Day - Circles/Spheres. In keeping with my photo of the magnificent dome of Galeries Lafayette, I am posting more photos here of their fabulous decorations inside and out. The French really know how to deck the halls! Enjoy.
Les Galeries Lafayette, le Printemps, le Bon Marché, when my children were little, they always wanted to see all the shops windows at Christmas time. But it was quite difficult, so many people glued on the windows...!

I enjoyed hearing about your trip through Peter too. Glad it ended well despite the last minute hiccup.
This is going to sound very strange, but this will be the only time Paris will remind me of my native Birmingham UK. The same atmosphere, light display,the grotto. the fairies, elves... Nostalgia. Cities have a magical quality missing the rest of the year. As Olivier would say Bravo- very uplifting images.

ReplyDeleteYes, the children were enthralled and I loved the little wooden 'viewing stand" they so nicely provided in front of every window so that the children got a grand view!!

Thank you for the nice remarks. I value your opinion as always. Yes, our trip was just wonderful and I certainly had a difficult time getting on that plane to come home. Peter was a terrific host, bless his heart!
KM, Not a mall, just one big fabulous store. I find it loud with a lot of hustle and bustle, but for Christmas it is absolutely breathtaking. How they attach all those lights is mind boggling.
Karen. Paris at Christmas is fantasyland is all I can say. Disney can't touch it.
