Those clouds hanging over the Arc du Triomph (is this the correct spelling, V?) make it more beautiful. This is grand, V. Love some of your other photos too.
Gathering storm over the Arc is a seldom seen image and has a disruptive charm. Louisa just drips of style, french style and La Porte is quite deceptive. It's almost 3D, multi layered light and textures. Do you paint any of your images?
B, Maybe one day I'll paint again. I hope so. Twenty years ago I did some classes and mostly watecolor. I want to so badly but can't satisfy myself. The angst of a painter. For now, photography fills that need.
The Arc with the gathering storm was a wonderful image to find. Paris awards photographers so many prizes!
Storm over the Arc makes me feel I am standing there. The moodiness is wonderful. Louisa looks so much like my visions of a lovely Parisien lady. Of course I love all your 'door' photos.
So you did get to the Carnavalet. I spent a lot of time in there. It seems relatively unknown on the tourist circuit.

ReplyDeleteA nice little collection again! Did you open the doors at Carnavalet? It's worth it!
