Like a kid in a candy store!
The children have loved these candy shops. We had one just like it on rue Mouffetard. They get a pink stiped sack and you scoop your own candy.
Today we loaded the van with happy campers and headed to nearby Bray sur Seine for the Marche du Vendredi. What fun we had strolling the streets of yet another quaint village and seeing what they had to offer. I hope my photos will make you feel like you were along for the ride.
Today is my One Year Birthday at Birmingham Alabama Daily Photo. Run on over and have a piece of birthday cake!

If those are dragées in the first photo, then fill my bag to the brim!
I saw your name with Peter. Came over to say, "Hi." Will get a piece of cake too.
Are you going back to Paris? If so, try a wonderful candy store (A la Mere de Famille) that dates to 1761; you know it's terrific if it's lasted that long in Paris; a discriminating city.
I like the picture with the hanging - are they dish towels? - the best. Rich, warm colors. The one in the right foreground looks very Provencal. The basketballs in the back give it a happy touch of weirdness.
It seems that you have really adopted the French countryside life!
Market day ... can you hear me sighing? So much more interesting than my weekend GreenFlea
There used to be a store like that in the Galleria in Fort Lauderdale. Sadly, it was at the end of the mall with the least traffic and did not survive.
I've just discovered your blog and your picture are amazing!
Thanks everyone. I'm glad to see some new visitors today. Please come back and visit. I"m headed home tomorrow but will be back the middle of July.
Left the congrats on the B'ham blog. Makes me yearn to be back in France. The longer you are there the more the real France comes through.
