Beaucoup des livres!

The  Abbey Bookshop, gives Shakespeare and Company a run for their money. Started in 1989 by Canadian Brian Spence, their website claims they have over 35,000 books in English. How they have any idea how many books are in this fabulous shop, I have no idea. Located near the Saint Severin Church, it's worth a stop.

Beaucoup de livres!

I understand that Shakespeare & Co. will be closed this month for inventory. If you've ever been inside you found this laughable.  How that is accomplished with any accuracy whatsoever is beyond me.  This trip maybe a poke around in The Abbey Bookshop in the Latin Quarier, also known for its English titles, will be in order.  Looks like it's full to the brim with old books as well.  Should be fun!

The Abbey Bookshop

The Abbey is yet another lovely little bookshop in Paris with its wares spilling out onto the sidewalk. (But it  looks like someone needs to have their mouth washed out with soap! Tsk, tsk.)  Since 1989, it is another Parisian source for English language books from around the world.
