La Petite Danseuse de Quatorze Ans


My mind and my camera has been focusied on ballerinas lately.  I took this photograph in November when i revisited the lovely boutique at the Opéra Garnier. Dégas' danseuse would have been a lovely gift to our ballerina Chappell, if only I'd been able to get her home in my suitcase.

    There is a statue cast from the original mold by Degas himself in the Josyln Museum here in Omaha. It is enchanting.
