One of My Top Finds

I love being asked to help friends, and friends of friends plan their trips to Paris. I'm no travel agent by any means, but I do have a VERY LONG list of to dos. When asked about museums I always offer this one, Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine ( Architecture Museum, it's easier). Located near Palais de Chaillot, it's a must see. After,  have a coffee or glass of wine on the terrasse overlooking the Seine and Eiffel Tower! You'll thank me for this one.

  1. Nice! Did you ever go to the Alexander Nevski cathedral?

  4. This museum is my favorite place in Paris. When I went the first time it was scheduled to be only a temporary exhibition. I was very happy to discover it was made permanent when I found it again a few years later. My husband and I enjoy visiting ancient churches and cathedrals in France. To find these replicas which are made from molds created more than 100 years ago, all collected in one place, was a joy. The replicas are actually better than the originals in many cases because of the continued deterioration in the 125 or so since the molds and replicas were made. Definitely a "don't miss" for anyone who admires ancient sculpture.
