Spinelli et Sivel

One of the most unusual gravesite at  Cimetière de Père-Lachaise, has to be the resting place of Spinelli et Sivel. They died in a balloon accident in 1875 and are buried together in this beautiful gravesite. As a photographer, the coloration on the monument intrigued me.

    I imagine some of that must come from the effect of weather over time.
