Take a walk down rue du Cherche-Midi and you will find Poilane bakery's flagship store. Several years ago we stayed in a lovely apartment, just a few doors down. Yes, we bought bread, and I was fortunate to be able to take some photos.
How brilliant! The good thing being that in Paris you can eat all the cheese, pastries and bread you like because you do so much walking.. Aimee and I actually came home after two weeks in Paris 5kilos lighter than when we went.. all those stairs :) so good!
This is exactly what I need right now: a trip to Paris and good bakery!
ReplyDeleteOH my! I'm such a sucker for bread and this is as beautiful as I'm sure it's delicious!
ReplyDeleteTHeir bread is officially delicious!
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat the smell of freshly baked bread.
ReplyDeleteI can smell freshly baked bread just by looking at your photo! Well done!
ReplyDeleteNice swirls. I've seen bread like this, but it does seem to take independent bakers!
