Very nice shot, V. Will be sharing with French Girl in Seattle readers this morning. I used to be this little girl. During our elementary school years, wherever we lived in France, my mother would walk my brother and me to school in the morning; then return to pick us up at lunch. We enjoyed a nice meal and break at home; walked back to school early afternoon. Finally, around 4:30-5:00pm, she would be there once again, waiting for us outside. Occasionally, we would stop at the local boulangerie for a special treat (pain au chocolat, chausson aux pommes, palmier,) on the way home. Memories... :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

My parents said it was the same in the Netherlands when they were growing up.
ReplyDeleteAh, a simpler approach that reminds me of the 1950s in the States.
