One of the waiters of the Chat Noir, in the 1890es, was so inspired by the place that he came back to Barcelona and founded the cabaret 4 Gats, 4 cats. Picasso had his first ever exhibition there in 1899, aged 17. And Aristide Bruant, famous french singer from that time, appeared often at the Chat Noir. Check out what the painter Toulouse-Lautrec made of it, it is quite marvelous.
I'll be this stationery cat has seen a few goings in the street V.
