The first time I saw these boats tied together at the Bois de Boulogne, was a fabulous exhibit of Yann Arthus-Bertrand's, Paris From Above. Luckily mon ami Peter Olson was along and as we left the exhibit, we made our way on foot to this very spot. As the weather turns warm and hopefully sunny in Paris, I'm sure the Parisians will find there way here for picnics and boat rides.
Yes, these are very cool boats.
ReplyDeleteLove the lines created by the angle of the sun and the boats in this image V. They all seem to be directing the eye to the top left hand corner of the image.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteLike a flock of birds in V formation returning for the warm weather.

Fantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteThere is something so peaceful, beautiful and extremely sublime about this photo. I would love to be plunked down right into one of those boats, but that would mess up the design!
ReplyDeleteMusée Marmottan is always a must visit but I never thought of wandering over into the Bois! The boats have tempted me to do so on my next visit! I'm going to bring my sketchpad with me.
ReplyDeleteThey do make for a visually appealing image!
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful scene and an excellent image, Virginia. Well done.
