L'Artisan Parfumeur, in the Marais is a favorite of mine. This last trip they had adorned their window with this nod to the Locks of Love on many of the Paris bridges.
Love this shot, V! Hope they're not really locked, though. When the time comes, they'll either have to cut them off—or I'm picturing some poor young shop assistant trying to match keys to locks. :~}
The locks are like a cancer on Paris. The best idea I've seen was on Pont des Arts where a group had reserved a section of the bridge with locks to be removed! You made a donation, got a key, found the lock it opened, and then threw it into the river where it belongs.
The romantic in me loves the notion of the locks ~ though I do understand how difficult they prove to be on a practical level!! This is a lovely nod to them and the added bonus is that they won't cause anyone a headache. :) Hugs to you and Meeps, dear V.
Wonderful close up!A beautiful decoration!

Adore! And they're gorgeous pink! :)
ReplyDeleteUn symbole à double sens, quand on est pris on est aussi prisonnier.

ReplyDeleteInteresting way to advertise.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting tired of this lock thing. I wonder when the tradition will run its course.
